Welcome back! I hope everyone had a restful weekend. This week is an important one; I will be administering our beginning of the year assessments to get an understanding of where each student is. These are not tests you can/study for and they are not counted as grades, they are used entirely to provide me information in order to make instruction the most beneficial for each student.
Update: Ms. Ortega would like everyone to have a Spanish notebook by next week. It doesn't matter which color.
Reminder: Tomorrow (Wednesday) is Back to School Night from 6:00 - 8:00. I hope to see everyone there!
Your homework for tonight is:
1) Math: Page 3 problems 1 - 20 odd.
Remember the following format for each math assignment:
a) It should be on loose leaf, not in your notebook
b) Name and date (9/3/13) in upper right hand corner
c) Assignment centered on the top (tonight's is: Page 3 problems 1 - 20 odd)
d) If there are sentences, you need to write the whole sentence (in problems 1, 3)
e) Box your answer for every problem
2) At home, talk with someone about our discussion and ask them the question: "When you close your eyes and think of freedom, what do you see?" If they are attending our Back to School night, encourage them to add their thoughts to our wall.
